What we
believe
Altar’d Global Church is an apostolic, Spirit-filled congregation holding to the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by men moved upon by the Holy Spirit, and that it is the final authority for faith, doctrine, conduct, and church order.2 Timothy 3:16–17
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing and revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Creator of all things, sovereign, holy, and worthy of all worship.Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His present ministry of intercession. Salvation is found in no other name.John 1:1–14 · Acts 4:12
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and evidenced by repentance and a transformed life. It is not earned by works, and it is not kept by performance.Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 10:9–10
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation, empowering believers for witness, service, and life. We believe the gifts of the Spirit are active and given for the building up of the Church today, and we make room for them in our gatherings.Acts 1:8 · 1 Corinthians 12
Sanctification
We believe the believer is set apart by the Word and the Spirit — a work begun at salvation and continued through obedience, discipline, and life in community.1 Thessalonians 5:23
The ordinances
We practice water baptism by immersion for those who have professed faith in Christ, and we observe the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of His death until He returns. We also dedicate children, ordain ministers, and consecrate homes as altars of prayer.Matthew 28:19 · 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
Prayer, healing, and the miraculous
We believe God still heals, still delivers, and still answers. We pray for the sick and testify to what He does. We do not guarantee outcomes; we bear witness to a God who is able and who is good whether or not He does what we asked.James 5:14–16
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, gathered wherever believers assemble in His name — in sanctuaries, in homes, and across digital gatherings.Ephesians 4:11–13
The fivefold ministry
We believe the ascended Christ still gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to His Church — not as titles to be worn, but as functions given for the equipping of the saints, the work of the ministry, and the maturing of the body until we come into the fullness of Christ.Ephesians 4:11–13
The doctrine of the apostles
We hold to the doctrine of the apostles as recorded in Scripture and continued through apostolic order. The first church devoted itself to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer — and we build on that same foundation, with Jesus Christ Himself as the chief cornerstone.Acts 2:42 · Ephesians 2:20
Ordination & commissioning
We believe leaders are set apart through the laying on of hands, confirmed by wise counsel and established leadership, and commissioned by the anointing and calling of God Himself. Human recognition does not create a call; it confirms one. We do not ordain by ambition, by tenure, or by popularity — we ordain what God has already marked.Acts 13:2–3 · 1 Timothy 4:14
Marriage and family
We believe marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman, and that the household is the first and primary place of discipleship. We hold that every home is called to become an altar.Genesis 2:24 · Joshua 24:15
Stewardship
We believe everything we hold belongs to God and is entrusted to us for Kingdom purpose. We practice tithing and generosity, and we teach financial literacy so that God’s people lend rather than borrow and serve free of financial bondage.Deuteronomy 28:12 · Malachi 3:10
The return of Christ
We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal reign of God.Acts 1:11 · Revelation 21
